Q&A Database

Updated on May 10, 2024

Having a great Q&A database is one thing. Being able to actually understand the question asked and find out the answer you want from the database is another. Alli Cognitive Search doesn’t just look for keywords you entered, but understands your question to find out the most relative Q&A pairs from your database. This is thanks to the high-accuracy NLU AI.

Adding Q&As #

To start, go to the Q&A menu and add some Q&As. Click the ‘ADD Q&A’ button at the top right corner, then click ‘Upload Q&A’ to upload multiple Q&As in a file form, or ‘Add Q&A’ to add them directly on the dashboard.

When uploading a Q&A file, download the sample file to see the proper formatting. Tsv, csv, xlsx, zip files are supported.

When adding Q&As directly, you can:

  1. Enter questions here.
  2. Click to add more than one question for the same answer.
  3. Click to let the AI try finding answers from the documents you uploaded. Please see this user guide for details.
  4. Apply styles, add links/images/videos on the answer.
  5. Enter the answer to the question(s) here.
  6. Add hashtags for the Q&A pair. The hashtags are used to organize the database and limit the search result.
  7. Change the status of the question. Add times for when the question is visible or not.
  8. Add the question to a specific folder. Select whether or not the folder’s access list can overwrite the list for the Q&A.
  9. Control who has access to the Q&A with an access list.
  10. Write notes about the Q&A internally.
  11. Check this box to continue adding more Q&As after submitting this one.
